Spring is coming.....someday

The ice forms on everything that is exposed. It puts that hopeful Spring frame of mind on hold for a few more days. Although the ice is beautiful, it does make life, and attitudes, difficult.

What you'll find here is an assortment of images I've created, and some thoughts and stories about the images. I like to create images that tell a story. I'm not always successful, but I try. I believe every image tells a story and every story has some type of image that goes with it. The stories I try to tell may be purely thoughts running through my head or they might have a few underlying messages from time to time. I find that the older I get, the more I need to express myself with images and words.

What you will NOT find here are magnificent vistas, soaring mountains, rushing rivers ( maybe a few streams), or any of the iconic views presented by photographers from around the globe, who travel the world, looking for those types of images. Don't get me wrong, I would love to be one of them, but I'm not. My travels are limited to places I can find within a distance that still allows me to enjoy what I am doing and pay the bills with a real job. The preserves, fens, woods, bogs, and other wonderful places that I have access to, are my haunts. Someday, hopefully soon, I'll be able to travel more extensively, to find and create sweeping images of this beautiful country of ours. Until then.......
